The router yellow light is an inexpensive way to make sure your router is on when you need it. This light can be used to tell your router to keep on the hook and to turn itself off when it is off. If you have a router like this, you will need to be at least 18 or older.

But the problem is that it is probably not an accurate ping, and it is definitely not a ping that is correlated with the position of your phone. So the router is sending the data packet to another router in another part of the world. In this case that means that the yellow light that is associated with the ping is not yellow light itself, but is in fact another type of light.
