Today’s post is related to my favorite theme of all time: the three levels of self-awareness.

I mentioned in my last post that I would be posting an excerpt from my new book Dieing Light 2.

The book is a collection of short stories about the lives of four people who’ve just died. The title of each story is a quote that someone from my book has on the tip of their tongue. It’s a very touching book, and the excerpt below is about the way in which the author describes one of the stories. It’s a very interesting way to describe a story because it makes it more interesting than just telling it in the typical way.

I think what makes the excerpt interesting is how the author uses his own personal experiences in telling the story. He explains things in a way that is personal and yet makes it more interesting. For example, in the excerpt below he says the story’s main character, Gaje, was a little bit of a jerk.

The excerpt below explains that Gaje is a jerk because his parents were not able to give him any money. He is a bit of a jerk because his dad was drunk all the time and he has no idea how much money he actually has. He is a bit of a jerk because his father did not want him to get a computer for his birthday.

You know you are starting to get into the realm of the awesome when you can make an entire game about your own personal insecurities.

In deathloop, Gaje is an amnesiac who has woken up on a beach with no memory of why he’s on Deathloop’s party island. He’s also not aware of his dad’s alcoholism, his lack of a computer, or that he’ll have to spend the rest of his life sitting around in a hotel room looking at screens.

In fact, you might be better off if you just forget about them completely. Not only because their antics might make you want to start drinking again, but because their lack of knowledge about the internet (and how it works) will make you want to go out and find a new job.

It’s pretty clear by the trailer that both Colt and his dad are probably unaware of the internet and its functions. But just like in the original Dying Light, there’s a lot of information that you’ll need to sort through to find out what each of them needs to know. And while the original game’s focus was more on combat, this game is really about learning to communicate with other people.

So not only can you find out what each of your characters needs to know, but you can also help out a little by figuring out your own.
