You can view the status of your letter of recommendation requests by reviewing your application in the system. Students apply for most scholarships at BGSU by completing the General Scholarship Application. The College, along with its departments, recognizes student achievements by offering a diversity of scholarship money, totaling approximately $300,000 each year. Must be admitted to BGSU and complete a separate Honors College application by Dec. 7th.
For more than 50 years, the Builders Exchange has provided tuition assistance to deserving college students in construction-related fields of study. Majors of recent recipients have ranged from architecture, to landscaping, to engineering and construction management. Do I need to contact my department for additional scholarship applications or are all scholarships through this process? You will not need to contact your department for additional applications. This scholarship provides more than one-half off the non-resident fee to full-time non-Ohio residents. Eligibility is based on cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or 20 ACT composite or 1040 SAT scores.
The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals is awarding multiple scholarships to deserving individuals (AMO. AET. FTO) to further their career in the aviation industry. Training must be OBAP approved and funds will be sent directly to training organization. Candidates must be a US citizen, provide a current resume, be currently enrolled in an Ohio-based collegiate aviation program, provide a recommendation letter from a faculty member of the aviation program. Multiple scholarships available for both pilot students and management students. First preference to students enrolled in Schmidthorst College of Business; if no qualified applicants, open to students from other colleges. Most of the scholarships in this group require prior membership in the 99s. The Fund also offers scholarships for college students majoring in aviation-related fields. Will be awarded annually to a deserving individual who has been accepted to a course of study in a professional aviation training program, aviation institution or higher learning, or aviation technical school. Scholarship is based on records, experience, potential, and demonstrated commitment to aviation. Applicants will be asked for two letters of recommendation; additional information or an interview may be required during the selection process. A Selection Committee comprised of university and community representatives will evaluate your application in various categories that focus on previous experiences and future leadership potential.
Multiple awards may be granted annually to a qualified member of these departments. A new scholarship application must be submitted each academic year beginning October 1 for the next school year. To be considered, students need to apply for admission, submit theFAFSA, and complete the Falcon Achievement application in your Scholarship opportunities list by January 15.
Awards will be made to U.S. citizens without regard to gender, race, religion, or national origin. The Dr. Harold S. Wood Award for Excellence is given annually to a college student who is a flight team member at a National Intercollegiate Flying Association member school. Named for Wood, founder and past Executive Director of NIFA, the award comes with an engraved propeller trophy in addition to the cash prize. Students are judged on the basis of academic skills, extracurricular activities, and an essay on their plans to pursue aviation in the future. Please note that students awarded the scholarship are expected to commit four years of continuous enrollment at Bowling Green State University at the undergraduate level. Undergraduate student pursuing a career in business aviation management at an NBAA/UAA institution who demonstrates an exceptional commitment to customer service. Full-time undergraduate enrolled or accepted into an aviation management program at an NBAA/UAA member school; rising sophomore or higher standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
