Upon entering, there is a small corn, tato and mutfruit farm, and the settlement’s workshop on the right. Beyond the farm is Penny’s shop, which also hosts the doctor’s office. To the left of the entrance is an Advanced-locked house, and beyond that is Covenant’s public house. On the far east end of the settlement is Mayor Jacob Orden’s house, kept behind a a Master-locked door.
Talk to the other villagers to learn more about it. Leave the village and follow the quest waypoint indicator to the caravan’s remains. Look for a cooler and open it to find Deezer’s Lemonade. A pristine build where all the turrets are intact, all the residents are alive, and …
Joe is a freelance games journalist who, while not spending every waking minute selling himself to websites around the world, spends his free time writing. Most of it makes no sense, but when it does, he treats each article as if it were his Magnum Opus – with varying results. Even in Tenpenny Tower in Fallout 3, while many residents hate ghouls, not all of them do. You can even change some of their minds and have them agree to let ghouls live there. If you side against Covenant, be sure to buy the unique items from Patty.
Inside one of the houses, where Jacob Orden often can be found, there is a small-sized radio (almost half of a normal-sized radio). There are G.O.A.T. posters with people in Vault 101 jumpsuits in Covenant. Entering Covenant by jumping over the fence results in all settlers turning hostile to the player. Both Orden and Penny will state the shop will now offer ‘special deals’ to the player character.
Covenant shop key, inside Penny Fitzgerald’s cash register; also carried by Penny Fitzgerald and Patricia Montgomery. Covenant is a heavily fortified town and a possible settlement in the Commonwealth. But that was the day we learned of the Institute’s latest creations. If a radiant quest of the “Defend ” type occurs at Covenant, the NPC audio dialogs for the settlers may not play. Furthermore it may be impossible to turn the quest in to Jacob Orden.
You can’t place your own turrets otherwise they’ll attack the ones already in place. And if those get destroyed you’ll have black smoke pouring out of the walls forever, they never de-spawn. If you destroy the institute, the covenant quest chain no longer starts. You need to acquire the settlement earlier in the game. All in all, you’ve got enough space to lay down a 2×3 structure in the middle of town, which isn’t terribly aesthetically appealing or practical when it comes to getting around.
There is no standing water, so no Water Purifiers, but aside from the houses, most of the ground is dirt and hence suitable for planting. This is a good thing, as the base garden plot the settlement starts with isn’t sufficient for the needs of its current settlers, much less any new recruits. You can, with many compromises, stuff a lot of settlers into Covenant, just don’t expect to be able to do everything you can at other, larger, more forgiving settlements. Take what you can get, stick Scavenging Stations and beds in every suitable space, and don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the functional. The last building at the end is Master locked, and contains a makeshit office littered with handcuffs, as well as a patio-turned-jail. The building also contains a Master locked office terminal, a report on the SAFE test and its success rate, and an odd broken radio tuned to channel 94, with an office key in the desk.
If a companion is dismissed at Covenant, after having been in conflict with the Compound, the turrets and the companion will fight until the turrets are destroyed. Swanson will join in as he “helps allies” charlie’s rv and is allied to the turret’s faction . If Swanson is attacked, the whole town will join in. Neither the companion nor Swanson can be permanently killed, and will constantly get up in this battle.
Dr. Patricia can not be traded with even out of hours; she is effectively on duty as a doctor 24 hours a day. Join the Railroad holotape – Found in the trash can next to the door in the house with the three beds and radio. Covenant house key – Carried by most inhabitants, and found on Jacob’s nightstand next to his bed. Two Covenant reminder notes – One in the first house on the left, the other in a bin at Penny Fitzgerald’s place.
As for other drawbacks, there’s the uneven terrain at ground level and the lack of resources aside from plants. There are several beautiful, massive, and useful settlements in Fallout 4, but here are some the bests that the game has to offer. By submitting your email, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Notice.
